Things You Should Know To Be Successful In the Web World!
We all want our blogs or websites to be successful, correct? We all want to make money, correct? I want to share a couple of things that are vital in blogging and having a website.
(The 150 Day Rule) Set it and forget it. Well, don't totally forget it. What I mean when I say that is, get your template like you want it, then keep it there for about 150 days. This is just "template" speaking. Never stop posting if you have a blog! I know when you're first starting off that it can be difficult leaving the look of your site alone. Until you start getting lots of traffic then you should venture out into the blogging or web world respectively.I have to admit, in the beginning of me having my blogs and websites I could not leave the "look of them alone". Go leave comments on already established websites. I don't mean tick the author off by spamming. Develop a bond with the community. The more and more you post "good" comments with your domain link, then the more your domain will show up in the search engines. It's a guarantee that if a newbee hasn't read this article then he/she is probably spending too much time changing their site, when they should be doing more important things.
(Create Content) So you've already soaked in the 150 day rule. Along with that you should be steady creating content. Now if this is just a website we're speaking of, then content continuity isn't necessary. When you have a website it's definitely like a set it and forget it objection. Blogging on the other hand requires a new post everyday or every other day. There's nothing worse than a lazy blogger! I've had my bad experiences with keeping up on nice blogs until the author just vanished. Post delays are a quick way to lose your blog readers. So why else is posting so important? You ask. Well the more you post, then the more search engines pull through to your site. Let's say you had a site about "Creating Websites" and on one of your articles you talked about creating a Golf Website. Believe it or not, when people go to Google and type in that niche, your website will be somewhere within that search. Now I'm not saying it will be ranked high, but on the other hand, if your website is ranked good then you will definitely have a high rank in that niche. When I say niche, I'm meaning the title of what people would type in into the search engine.
(Sell Your Talent) So what do I mean by selling your talent? Well I'm going to use myself for instance. I know how to play a couple of tunes on the piano, so i created a piano instructional blog. The traffic is not that great there, but the thing is I'm selling piano instructional downloads on that blog. I would say the unique traffic there is about 50 viewers per day. On average, 10 people buy downloads for $8.00 a piece everyday. That's $80.00 just from selling God Given Talent! Now you might not know how to play the piano or do anything extraordinary, but you do have talent. Talent is just defined as something you can do. Can you tie your shoe? That's a talent. It might sound crazy, but if you were to make a shoe tying video and sell downloads, there will be parents that will buy it for there kids. Use YouTube for a great marketing strategy. I usually post a quick piano lesson preview on YouTube then if the viewer wants to buy they just click the link to my website. Selling your talent is a quick way to make money. Being ranked high in Google is not so important. If you have something to offer. Sell it!
Well guys those are just 3 main strategies that you should keep incorporated in your blog or website. If there is a lesson or something you would like published then contact me. I love blogging. I love people! Take Care!
